After a mixed bag of ok promotional tour, and highlighting the chesticular power of Bipasha’s self-titled track, Jodi Breakers has finally made it to the big screen. How well did it fair with the critics? We’ve got all the critic reviews aggregated right here – after the jump. So, read on.
Piyali Dasgupta, NDTV: Rating: 1.5 / 5
“Bipasha-o-Bipasha is glossy. That’s about it. Item numbers can add to a film, they can’t make a film.
“An Old Monk once said you must keep the Black Dog within you under control, or you’ll get a Black Label on your forehead…” . This, by the way, is the highest point of this film’s humour. The lowest one concerns a conversation about the top half of the heart that resembles a bum. “Only potty comes out of there,” says the hero.
Savera R Someshwar, Rediff : Rating: 1 / 5
If you are going to star in a film that features the superfit Bipasha, Milind and Dipannita, a pregnant tummy, jowly cheeks, a double chin and a failed battle with the bulge can only make you stand out. And not in the right way.
Zee News: Rating: 3 cheers for Jodi Breakers
Go delve in dysfunctional relationships this weekend!
Daily Bhaskar: Rating: 3 / 5
On the whole, Jodi Breakers falls flat in its intention to showcase a well-knitted plot. Watch out this one only for Maddy and Bips.
Gaurav Malani, Times Of India: Rating: Above Average
Don’t expect anything path-breaking and Jodi Breakers will keep you happy for a ‘couple’ of hours.
Taran Adarsh, BollywoodHungama: Rating: 3 / 5
On the whole, JODI BREAKERS has an engrossing and smartly executed second half that tilts scales in its favor. The right dose of drama and romance, besides a trendy, harmonious musical score, only act as toppings.
Komal Nahata, KoiMoi: Rating 1 / 5
On the whole, Jodi Breakers is not too much of an entertainer and will not be able to break even. Considering the dull start and lack of merits in it, it will entail losses to all concerned.
