Riteish D and Genelia D – the extra cute real life couple’s first onscreen romance, released after their big hoopla wedding – Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, couldn’t have been more well publicised. But does that work in terms of translating the real life magic of romance into their reel romantic jodi chemistry? Here’s what the critics verdict is – all after the jump.
Preeti Arora, Rediff: Rating: 2.5 / 5
It’s too much saccharine in a film which otherwise retains a frothy, smooth texture.
Khalid Mohammed, Deccan Chronicle: Rating: 2.5 / 5
To see or not to see, then? Flip a coin. Heads you go, tails you don’t.
Gaurav Malani, Times Of India: Rating: Good
With the feel-good factor working to its advantage, you might just end up saying Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya to this sweet-n-simple film.
NDTV: Rating: 2.5 / 5
Enjoy watching a sweet love story with the now Mr & Mrs Deshmukh as the lead pair. Trust me, it is entertaining enough.
TNLHG could have been a good Valentine’s Day release. Also, coming soon after the Riteish Geneila marriage, it would have added as a curiosity factor. All the same, this is a fun film worth a watch.
Taran Adarsh, BollywoodHungama: Rating: 3 /5
..the sparkling performances by Riteish and Genelia is the mainstay of the film.
Komal Nahata, KoiMoi: Rating: 2.5 / 5
On the whole, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya is an entertaining film and will, therefore, be liked by families.
