Now, You Can Dial Phone Calls from Your Mac

Want to make calls without taking out your iPhone or using headset connections?This can now happen via your iPhone. Imagine that you are working with your Mac and have your AirPods on, but the phone is out of your reach. Then this feature would come handy. Also, there is no specific app for this feature; you just have to follow a few steps to make calls.You can receive calls on iPad or Mac, but if you try to place a call, it will be transferred to your iPhone device by default.

Before we begin, there are a few settings to be done on your iPhone. Go to Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices and allow it for your Mac. You also need to be logged into the same iCloud account on your iPhone as well as your Mac.

Method 1:

Then ‘Call Siri’can tell that you wish to call a particular contact. Then the screen will pop up and all you have to do is click on the dialler icon placed between “Video” and “Mute” and work your way.

Method 2:

Using the FaceTime App:

  1. Open the Facetime in your Mac.
  2. In the top left corner, you can type the name, number, or email id of the person you wish to call.
  3. Then click on “Audio” to initiate the call.
